Anberlin – Lowborn

Despite each member of Anberlin working independently, Lowborn is masterfully crafted with each track having its own distinct flair whilst keeping to a clear flow throughout.

This is exemplified by the contrast between Stranger Ways which has a softer alternative rock sound and Dissenter which is a heavier punk-rock style track employing screaming vocals.

Experimental electronic techniques are employed occasionally which blend with the traditional rock instrumental sound seamlessly.

Other standout tracks are We Are Destroyer, Birds of Prey and Hearing Voices.

Sadly this is the final album from Anberlin and it is a truly great effort that begs for a follow-up.
