Kendrick Lamar Grammy Awards Performance 2016

Today Kendrick Lamar put on one of, if not the greatest live performances at the 2016 Grammy Awards.

During the performance Kendrick performed his two hit singles, Alright and The Blacker The Berry, from To Pimp A Butterfly as well as a yet to be released and named track simply known as Unnamed 3.

Not only were the songs great but the overall level of production put into the performance was phenomenal. Lamar came out shackled in chains to start the performance before moving across to sing and dance in front of fire and finally closed the performance out with a simple yet powerful rap into a mic with strobes and spotlights on his face during a close up.

This performance is extremely impactful and shows just how much Kendrick thinks about bigger issues in society and is trying to instil change through creative and provocative means, which I believe is something that all artists strive for in whichever medium they choose.
