When first encountering the latest album from Carly Rae Jepsen you quickly begin to ponder who or what this record could be ‘dedicated’ to, upon listening the answer quickly becomes apparent.

Throughout its 15 track journey, Dedicated takes the listener on an emotional ride throughout the entirety of a relationship. From the initial early sparks and desires right through to the realisation that “we were over” and the first step in the new journey as a Party For One.

Dedicatedis a sugary pop filled record, that has a big heart at the core of its lyrics. Carly Rae Jepsen has certainly come a long way from the days of Call Me Maybe.
