Alexisonfire - Otherness

For the first time in over 13 years influential Canadian post-hardcore band Alexisonfire are back with a new album.

Entitled Otherness this new record features 10 tracks which allow each of the 5 individual members band have their moment to shine. With each of the members of Alexisonfire having built phenomenal reputations for themselves as musicians in their own rights outside of Alexisonfire its great to see them all allowed to showcase their talents on this record.

Otherness is one of, if not the most, cohesive records to date from Alexisonfire. This record sees the band giving fans that classic post-hardcore sound that we've come to love from them whilst also weaving in more texture & dynamism than ever before. Throughout the 10 tracks listeners will hear the emotiveness of Dallas Green, the attitude of Wade McNeil and George Pettit's iconic vocals all coalesced together by the skills of bassist Chris Steele and drummer Jordan Hastings.

Overall Otherness easily enters the pantheon of phenomenal records by Alexisonfire. The most standout track for me though was by far Sweet Dreams Of Otherness with Sans Soleil following closely behind.
