Interview with the Director of FOE, Garth Davis

This week on The Commentary Booth we're doing something a little different on the show since Jamie is not in his usual recording studio. Today, Jamie recorded live & in person with Acadamy Award-nominated director, Garth Davis to chat about his journey in film & his upcoming movie FOE.

Garth is a director best known for his film Lion, but he is also the director, co-writer & producer of the new film FOE, starring Saoirse Ronan and Paul Mescal.

This new film is a sci-fi psychological thriller based on Iain Reid's 2018 novel of the same name. In this story, set in 2065, the lives of a married couple are turned upside down when a mysterious stranger arrives on the doorstep of their secluded farmhouse. Upon welcoming this stranger into their house the couple is informed that the husband is to be sent to live on a space station for an extended period, while in his place an articulate replica of himself will be left in his place with his wife. As the film progresses we soon learn there is much more than meets the eye with this replica & this story overall.
