The Last Of Us - Episode 1 Review
This week we're beginning a new feature on The Commentary Booth. Typically we would do 1 new topic every week, but for the next 9 weeks, we're focusing on a single topic & diving deep into every episode as they air.
The HBO tv adaptation of The Last Of Us is the topic we're about to be infected by. A post-apocalyptic drama series written for TV by Craig Mazin & Neil Druckmann. Based on the 2013 Playstation game of the same name created by Druckmann & developed by Naughty Dog.
Set 20 years after modern civilisation has been destroyed, Joel, a hardened survivor, is hired to smuggle Ellie, a 14-year-old girl, out of an oppressive quarantine zone. What starts as a small job soon becomes a brutal heartbreaking journey as they both must traverse the US & come to depend on each other for survival.
First up Jamie is joined by Cat Benstead from Hear Us Scream to review the debut episode When You're Lost In The Darkness.
DISCLAIMER: Impressions recorded in advance of the air date based on preview screeners, provided by Binge.
