The Royal Hotel Review

This week on The Commentary Booth Jamie is joined by Corrina Mabey to review the new Australian psychological thriller, The Royal Hotel.

Directed by Kitty Green The Royal Hotel takes inspiration from the the 2016 documentary Hotel Coolgardie by Pete Gleeson. In the feature film version, Canadian backpackers Hanna and Liv take a job in a remote Australian pub for some extra cash. However, they are soon confronted by many unruly locals before the situation rapidly spirals out of control.

During this episode, we also embrace our ocker Aussie side to educate Corrina about some classic Aussie slang & sayings.
