NO – El Prado

Originally published on Alt Media

With a sound that’s in the vein of The National, NO’s guitar, synth, and baseline-driven tracks create a moody atmosphere of hope and longing throughout El Prado.

Opening with Leave The Door Wide Open the listener is instantly introduced to the baritone vocals of lead vocalist Bradley Hanan Carter accompanied by a chugging synth and bass line before introducing a catchy guitar riff and support vocals.

The biggest drawback is that the tracks all follow the main mood too closely, meaning many of them blend into each other rather than have their own distinct message. Therefore, they are best consumed separately rather than in one long sitting.
