Thoughts on TNA Taking Impact On The Road

I’ve recently been able to take the time to catch up on all of the wrestling that I missed while busy with university study and something that I noticed and thought was worth talking about was TNA taking Impact on the road into bigger arenas.

I feel this was a great move by TNA and it takes them to the next level in terms of how they are perceived by the casual wrestling fan.

The bigger audiences add greatly to the atmosphere of the show and if you were to just be “flicking” through the channels seeing a big crowd adds that level of authenticity and would in my opinion make you more likely to stop and watch the show.

While the “Impact Zone” in Orlando had its advantages, such as lower production costs, it also had its problems.

The problems I had when watching the episodes emanating from there were that I was constantly seeing the same people in the same places. Also with the crowd being predominantly tourists and Universal Studios theme park attendees, they never seemed to be as invested as a hardcore wrestling fan who is willing to pay for a ticket to one of the new travelling shows.

Taping two shows per event/night the audience still has some of the same problems that the “impact Zone” encountered but all in all I really like the change and look forward to seeing TNA continue to grow and succeed, because I’m sure like many others I hope to see a return to the days of two strong wrestling companies competing and providing us with quality entertainment.

I’d love to hear others thoughts on these changes in the comments below or via Twitter @Appsy_JAM
